Jim Middaugh for Portland     About Jim     News     How to Help     Contact Jim     Supporters

Thanks for joining the hundreds of Portland neighbors and friends who are working to help me win a seat on the Portland City Council. Here’s some ways you can join the fun:

1. Help me meet your friends and neighbors. Who can you introduce me to? I’d love to join you and some friends for coffee, a walk, a trip to the dog park or a small gathering at your house or work.  Email the campaign at jim_middaugh@msn.com with possible times and dates and we’ll get back you as soon as possible. If you want to brainstorm some ideas please call the campaign at 503 231-2757.

2. Sign up to help us gather lawn sign locations. Later this month we’ll be fanning out across the City knocking on doors to let people know about the campaign and to identify supporters who are willing to have a lawn sign put up. We’ll meet on a Saturday morning and work until lunch – that’s all! Or, you can just check in with the people on your block. Either way you’ll be helping a lot!

3. Contact us if you want a lawn sign. Send an email to the campaign at jim_middaugh@msn.com with “lawnsign” in the subject line and your name, phone number and address in the body of the message. Send an email to the campaign at jim_middaugh@msn.com with “lawnsign” in the subject line and your name, phone number and address in the body of the message. When we’re ready, we’ll let you know how to pick up your sign.

4. Endorsement of My Campaign.  A public pledge of your support for my campaign will go a long way.  Send an email to the campaign at jim_middaugh@msn.com with “endorsement” in the subject line and your name, phone number, address and any relevant affiliations in the body of the message.

5. Be a Precinct Captain. We won’t have a lot of money for an expensive mail and TV campaign. We’ll be counting on the hundreds of people who helped gather the qualifying contributions to once again go out in their neighborhoods and talk face to face with voters about this election. Whether you can take two blocks or 10 blocks, we’ll appreciate your help. Send an email to the campaign at jim_middaugh@msn.com with “precinct captain” in the subject line and your name, phone number and address in the body of the message. When we’re ready, we’ll let you know how to pick up your list and materials.

6. Postcard Project. There is no better endorsement than that made by one friend/neighbor to another. We’ll be asking supporters all over the city to take 25-50 postcards and signing and addressing them to voters in their neighborhoods or anywhere in the city, asking them to vote for me in the May primary. Send an email to the campaign at jim_middaugh@msn.com with “postcards” in the subject line and your name, phone number and address in the body of the message. When we’re ready, we’ll get the postcards to you.
